Earlier in the week our PC PSU died ,no symptoms just wouldn't power up.
It was a 420w so got a 500w replacement and since fitting it's been painfully slow to boot and for anything to load.
Currently trying a system restore but that is also taking a lonnnngggg tiiimmmeee.
Coincidental or something else going on ?
It's a win10 PC and has been no issue until now.

What are the voltages on the different rails ?

Does it have multiple rails?

Sounds like it isn't punching out what it should...

Not sure what was going on but may have been coincidental, ran system restore which took over 5hrs and failed but then the PC booted back up as normal.
I used ashampoo optimizer to clean up some files and its faster now, well back to normal i would say.

I wonder if you disturbed a RAM biscuit when stuffing around in there.

Thats one of the things i checked, i have a mirrored raid setup and the power cable has two SATA plugs on the one cable so i gave them separate leads in case it was a low power issue.
That didn't change anything and i can now only assume it was software related as once i got it booting again it started doing an update which took hours.
