Due to win11 updates I can no longer play any Farcry game except 6,
3, 4, 5, and New Dawn no longer work.
and yes, I paid for them.
I need to load Windows 10 on a bootable partition on my laptop.
Plenty of space, new Win10 key, just finding it difficult converting a new empty 100GB Basic data partition to Bootable.
Any ideas?

I believe mintool partition wizard can do this.
you can also do it at the command prompt level.. for me the response from the AI google uses gave a working result. The issue you might have is needing a boot loader to boot from the alternative partition into win10.
My solution for this was to have a partition with the early version of windows on it and put the boot drive onto a USB stick and set the boot from USB option higher than the boot from hard drive. if I want the normal OS leave the USB stick out, if I want the other os, stick the USB in.
Good luck

Installing Windows 10 Alongside Windows 11 To set up a dual boot with Windows 10 and Windows 11, follow these steps:
Preparation
Backup Data: Always back up important files before making changes to your system.
Create Installation Media: Use a USB flash drive (at least 8GB) to create a Windows 10 installation media. You can download the media creation tool from Microsoft's website.
Partitioning
Free Up Space: Ensure you have an unallocated space on your hard drive for Windows 10. This can be done by shrinking an existing partition using Disk Management.
Format the Partition: If you have a partition ready, format it to NTFS. If not, leave it unallocated.
Installation Steps
Boot from USB: Insert the Windows 10 USB drive and restart your computer. Access the boot menu (usually by pressing F12, F2, or ESC) and select the USB drive.
Install Windows 10: During the installation process, when prompted to select a partition, choose the unallocated space or the formatted partition. Be careful not to select the partition where Windows 11 is installed.
Complete Installation: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Windows 10 will set up a boot manager that allows you to choose between Windows 10 and Windows 11 at startup.
Post-Installation
Boot Options: After installation, you should see a boot menu when starting your computer, allowing you to select either Windows 10 or Windows 11.
Adjust Boot Order: If needed, you can adjust the boot order in the BIOS settings to prioritize which operating system to load by default.
By following these steps, you can successfully set up Windows 10 to boot alongside Windows 11.
