I was looking at these two transmission pans.
I'm hoping the link works. They claim the pans are metal, but pictures seems to suggest otherwise.
Has anyone had any experience with either of these?

The car had a new pan and transmission fluid change at 130k and I'm close to 180k, and was going to replace pan and oil again in the next week or so.
Should I need to have a good flush, or will a normal replacement pan and oil change be enough to keep it going nicely?

Plan on doing Transfer case, and diffs at the same time.

Nope both are plastic, there is no metal pan available for the ZF8HP only some very expensive alloy versions.

At those kms I’d replace the internal rubber mechatronic seals. I know the six speed has them not sure on the eight speed. A cheap kit which includes the seal for the electrical connector. Heaps of how to videos on the six speed.

Mine still works well totally original at three hundred plus kms based on oil changes and doing these seals. LR Time postulates that the leaking of those seals causes the torque converter and other clutch issues.

Thanks for that. I will have a look, I thought they did, but maybe I've also been looking at the 6speed box, as everything I've been looking at, was also replacing the pan with the metal pan and separate filter.

So i did do a bit of researc)h after this, and apparently the 8 speed mechatronic seals are different to the 6, and supposedly a much better design. (google search, hence the supposedly)
I will check it when i pull the pan off, and worst case, if it looks shoddy, I'll buy a set, and flush the tranny again.
