Hi All,
With the weekend drawing closer i thought i would post up in here to see if i could drum up some more interest for the Stockton beach trip this weekend.
At this stage it looks like its going to be a great weekend - so far theres over 10 cars coming. It will be good to get out on the dunes with a group of Land Rovers for the change, show all the Toyotas and Nissans how its done!

Well.... I'm 99% sure I'm coming and my mate with the territory.
We'll do the first-beach-day for sure... I doubt the ford will handle any mud terrain.

I'm back, and definatly going, the Disco's been playing up so may be in the zooky sierra but should have the disco ok by then. the rain will have made the bush tracks pretty interesting.

Well the count as it stands is 13-15, Andrew(YRVgreen) has even told me he plans to join us on his motor bike as his series III is still siting in peices in his front yard!
But as for numbers on the day we will wait and see!
The rain has been bucketing down here, but its been nice and clear today, So the lagoons are going to be very full, considering most of the area around williamtown is flooded at the moment. I will post up some directions shortly for all you Sydney guys.

Yeh i am thinking off checking them out one night this week just to make sure there not to flooded, You might know one of the tracks i want to take, first one on the left as you head down james road, the one with the big lump at the start of the track, it crosses over towards pipe clay creek rd and down that for a bit then across to old swan bay rd. No doubt there is going to be some mud arround!

Mick, can't make it... my 3 year old daughter has croup... she was coughing and weazing last night and she's shocking when she went to bed tonight. She'll be ok but I don't want to take her out and make it worse, and I can't really come on my own this time.... not fair for my wife to lump her with the kids for the w/e.
Sorry guys... next time. I'm spewing, I had the new compressor, tent and fridge and bluetongue is all geared up and ready to go. Ahhhhhhh another w/e in the big city  .... I'm starting to get withdrawals.
Hope you get this message tonight/tomorrow morning.
Have fun. Looks like the weather will be pretty good tommorrow.

What a Day!!!
Words can't begin to paint a clear enough picture. With 17 cars in convoy ooops and a Motor Bike (I'm sure I saw a landy badge on there some where ...lol) we travelled not alot of ground but the ground we did travel was just breath taking.
Stockton beach for those that haven't been has just got to be on the things to do before I die list, even if you have to put a line through a couple. Get There!!!
Here's Saturdays final line up minus a few I think.

That was a great trip Mick! :D
Thanks for all your efforts in organising the route, campsite, etc, etc. Loads of variety in the driving. (Was there any known surface we didn't drive over or through besides snow?)
Looking forward to the report.:)
