I am still waiting for fuel to go much below $1.50 per litre, where it has been for ages.

For the sake of all the Thirsty V8 owner, lets hope it hits the dollar mark again! maybe we can have a laugh at the diesel owners paying 130-140 a litre then rather then them laughing out our running costs! :)

They mentioned it on the news this morning.

It has been on the news over the last couple of days. Fuel is 1.30 plus here and diesel has been sitting on or around 1.40 for weeks. No sign of a decrease. All new broadcasts bar one have said a dollar a litre one said 1.15, i know which one i believe. matt

Saw the same story down here in Wollongong, thought you beauty. Then on the radio this morning there was a warning to fill up today because its going up 10 cents a litre tomorrow, got all excited for nothing.

I thought I was doing well today filling up for 1.06, but then I saw that the servo's up and down the road were all up to 1.24, so I guess thats as close to the $1 we get this week :)

Well

I would be happy to pay less than $1.50 - Roxby Downs prices still above.

Diesel here $1.459 on Friday - haven't checked it since then. No sign of it going down yet - that's as high as it went. But he only gets fuel about once a month.

Ace,
Mobile near here was $1.03 this morning when I filled up, and at lunch it was $1.31
Prices have been getting a little lower for the last two weeks.
Hope it lasts.

It was only like a month ago when the news people were saying that petrol will go to $1.80 a litre by Christmas.

Now the news is saying that petrol prices will be lower.

Which is it going to be?

I hope that this recent news will stop more people from booking their vehicles in for LPG installations..... That way I can get mine done sooner rather than later! :D

I beleive it has something to do with a huge oil deposit they have found of the gulf of mexico or somewhere like that, apparently the biggest they have ever found ?

It has to do with a lot of things - the reported discovery is one, but probably the most important is the cessation of hostilities in Lebanon and the renewed fears of recession in the USA due to recent statistics.

was $1.499/l and $1.4699/l between the local BP and Shell this time last week. We'll see what it is in the next few days.

BTW, the servo's up here are slugged a delivery fee of approx. 3.8c/l on top of what they pay for their fuel. My local garage marks up only 4c/l, hardly worth the paper work.

Well, neither fuel nor diesel has moved all that much both still above 1.30. Matt
