Does anybody know a decent underbody wash on either Stradbroke Island or the mainland near Cleveland? Can't clean the bloody car at home with level three water restrictions so I needs to get the sand off as soon as I'm clear of the beach. Redland Shire is still only on level two restrictions so I figure it's better to get the car cleaned properly there before paying someone mega-bucks to do it in Brisbane. It would be cheaper to wash the vehicle with '55 Grange... might smell a bit odd and I'd have poncy winos following me around.

That's what they must have thought here in Penrith. The local Car Lovers didn't seem to last very long before it closed. They must have lost a fortune.

You pay for the water dont you????USE IT but sparingly.
Surely wasing the car with the hose on the lawn is killing 2 birds at once.A pressure cleaner uses very little water for a very good result, try filling a bucket with one. They are very reasonably priced these days.
I spent 8 years on a farm putting up with a pathetic unhealthy water supply an had to buy water when it ran out,NICE TIGHTARSE EMPLOYER.
Now I have town water I tend to use it as I want it,stuff the laws,I will pay for it.The dam that supplies us(Harris River Dam,Collie) always overflows early in the season so I cant see that Im doing anybody else out of water.

Unfortunately andrew ,here in brisvegas ,the water supply dams are at about 25% and water restrictions are pretty severe, garden watering by bucket only, one shower a week..... nah just kidding about the shower bit ,luckily for me i dont live in an area with town water, just good ole rain water straight from the tank, complete with frog pee and whatever else washes off the roof, adds to the flavour:D ,as for washing Thumper, tis a short stroll down to the dam and kick the pump into life and wash away at my hearts content ,and just put all the topsoil back onto my yard:cool:
