I can see the headlines...

LANDROVER USES TOYOTA AS DRAW BAR EXTENTION.....

Film at eleven.....

Unwilling to expose his flash mags to the salt water a local landrover driver used the typical inginuity inherent to the breed and used a commonly available toymotor four wheel drive as a make shift draw bar extention to push back his boat trailer into the water in preperation for launching.

In testimony to the legendry skills aquired by the frequent recoverings of stranded lesser fourbys, the more observent among you should, notice that the dispite 4 articulation points the boat trailer is not jack knifed and the boat was successfully launced without exposing more than the bottom inch of rubber on the Defender to the water.....

and now on with the movie...

Ive said it before I'll say it again

TDI stands for Toyota De-ditching Impliment

I'm sorry I missed all the fun - saw this other blue Defender on Straddie on the week-end but never knew who it was or what they were up to. Now I know.

Incidently, the Landrover Defender/Series count on Stradbroke Island was 41 for the week-end.

I had always believed Toyota motors were good boat anchors.

Particularly the F and 2F which were, reputedly, developed from a WW2 Chev engine.
