View Full Version : Help needed for Simpson clothes dryer

I had to replace a kevlar bearing in our Simpson MaxiDry 1200s clothes dryer but I forgot about the belt tensioner when I removed the drive belt.
As a result, I forgot to sketch how the belt tensioner is fitted and, in particular, to where the tensioning spring connects before it all fell in a heap in the bottom of the dryer..
I really do hope there is an appliance tech on this site and who could send me a sketch or provide a link to an appropriate page.
Regards,
Ron

There are a bunch of diagrams here -

- one of them may apply to your Simpson.;)

Thanks, chaps. A reply on the OL forum pointed me in the right direction - it was where to connect the tension spring that had me baffled.
I'll check when I get home from work.

No worries.
The wind yesterday dried anything we needed dry.
The blackout for most of yesterday stopped me from accessing this anyway.

Nah, I upset some people by saying if you want to take a pic of Uluru, take it, don't worry about the aboriginal sensitivities, Uluru is owned by all of us.
They deleted my post then eventually deleted the whole thread.

What's all this mechanical crap. I would have thought just hanging your clothes out the window when crossing the Simpson would dry them pretty quickly.
Boom boom.

Hey, I've got a P38A - you don't expect me to go across the Simpson in that!? For starters, how big a fuel tank would I need?
