Defender... which variant?

G'day
I'm currently looking for a defender 110 wagon. I've seen every one of these on the internet that suits in the last few weeks.

My requirements are as follows:

Budget of about $20k. (give or take)
TD5
Lowish km (between 100000 and 150000)
Bullbar, a winch would be great
Towbar
Side steps

I'd really like to know how people go about putting the rear seats in these, troopy style. Is it a job for an engineering place with mod plates? (i'm in QLD)

If anyone can offer me advice and experiance on this model with regards to problems, little things that need attention pre purchase and major faults to look out for would be much appreciated.

Anyone know of any other places to look apart from the major websites, trading post, ebay or here?

its an engineering problem for a place that can do mod plates..

problems are the typical landrover ones...

leaking seals, unimportant bits shaking off

my 03 110 extreme hasnt let me down in any important way yet.

First things first, the first optional extra you buy is the RAVE cdrom from the marketplace here.

Then if your keen on 4x4ing if your Deefer comes shod with anything more road biased than an AT's swap to AT's or MT's... upgrading from the hilux to any rover with a TD5 youre going to believe that you couldnt have gotten the hilux that good if youd spent a lotto jackpot at ARB and TJM.
