Is there a TV antenna installer on this forum - particularly a Sydney-based one? I want a new antenna system (optimised for digital TV) installed.

Hi Ron,
Your best bet would be to ask on the Digital TV forum - http://www.dtvforum.info/

I installed a matchmaster antenna, RG6 and F-connectors myself for an excellent picture through my high-def DTV receiver... but have a clear view of all Sydney broadcast towers.

Let me know if you need any more information.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi Robert,

Which antenna did you use?

I've been making a list of what I need. I'll have to see if my crimping tools work on F connectors.

I don't know whwther to replace the existing antennae (I have the UHF antenna facing toward Wollongong) or keep the them.

My antennae are on a long pole guyed off the roof so it's not the sort of thing I like to pull down - it's damn easy to drop it.

Hi Ron,
Sorry, I can't remmeber the model - but it was a horizontal yagi-style "Matchmaster" brand. I suspect you will require a vertical phase-array style antenna out at Emu Plains.

I just did a search on the DTV forum and found this - which would apply to you as well: http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php'showtopic=40718

If you ring Matchmaster and tell them where you are, they could recommend a suitable antenna.
