as the title suggests I am on the move again, job has finished in sydney and I am moving down the coast to shell harbour, have packed up most of my stuff sold the stuff I no longer need on ebay but the biggest pain in the butt is ringing up places to cancel services or change addresses etc.
The quickest place to get through was a bank under a min which suprised me and about time telstra changed that bloody song really hate it now heard it so many times then the worst one was the internet provider.
Having fun cleaning the flat so I can get the bond back this will go towards new tyres on the disco should be finished this weekend then can relax before looking for a new job

one of the most stressful times of your life is moving house
Shell harbour is nice, hope you enjoy your new place and find a job soon.

Yep, I concur, have moved to many times in the past, from 98 to last year I have moved 10 times through divorce, job changes, new partner etc etc, so when we finally bought our first house in Sept last year ( just had our 1 yr anniversary) I am never moving again :D . So good luck with it mate, dont know the area you are going to, but with Shell and Harbour in it, it has to be nice,

Best wishes. I've been avoiding having to move so far. I'm young and only moved out, which doesn't really count.

Good luck with the move.
I can relate to hating it. The last unit I rented I got all the bond back:eek::D, but they did complain about a couple of things initially - like I didn't wash the light shade:o and the sink wasn't polished enough:)

we moved recently and chnaged our address at the post office, they send a form out with some tick boxes on for the most common banks and other stuff and tell them for you.
would have been quite handy if i had got it before i had already done the leg work

Next Wednesday is is the big day for me. After living in Mona vale for 15 years its a biig job to move to Avoca Beach.
Having to give away some I my rainy day stuff was hard, but I hope Slunnie makes good use of the springs.
But I had to dump( realistically) all my little bits of bracket metal, angle aluminium etc etc. and those Range Rover 4 inch **** speakers. tried to sell 2 AM CBs at the garage sale but nobody loved em so to the dump.
So think of me Wednesday.
But I kept the heads, diff centre, and all that rainy day stuff like the windscreen rubber, ECU , fuel pump that I bought off Ebay mostly from our friend in Cairns.

I moved two weeks ago.
It sucked. As usual. I was better prepared this time. Two trips to the tip and the shed content was much lighter.:D
I'm settled now. Sort of.
Still setting up the glassblowing area though. I need to do some extra fireproofing. PITA!
I'll try and stay put for a few years this time.

I can't even contemplate moving. I've got 3 old sheds of gear collected over 25 years of building boats, doing up cars, farming, camping plus all those bits of wood and steel and tins of paint and etc etc that I can't bear to dispose of.
I think I will try and die here (not any time soon though) so it can be someone else's problem.

As anyone else that is in the Defence Force can tell you - it sucks and it never gets any easier. Actually it gets harder because we always hoard so much crap! :D
Enjoy

Yep, I know how that goes. In the middle of it at the momment after 12 years in the current house and 20 in Kambalda. 4 tandem trailers loads of odds and sodds that a removalist will not take. Removalists packed the house yesterday (28/09/06) and will be loading the truck today. they will be dropping it all off in Esperance on Tues 03/10. Stiil lots of bits of steel, wood etc out to the tip that was not worth freighting down. I am on site at Ravensthorpe at the momment so my my wife is dealling with the movers. Sick of driving back and forth to Kambalda every break. 1 more trip to go to pick them up on Monday. Hooray.

I know what you mean. I am moving house next Thursday. Only moving a few blocks away, but into a renovation in progress. Still no Garage, and my wife wants a flushing toilet. Hope the bath arrives so we can also have a wash. Great house, but just needs a lot more work. The front bedroom area is about done, but still have to work on the kitchen, bath, and garage. Storage is something that I don't even want to think about.
Good luck with your move.
