Hi all,

Got back last night from our trip to Fraser Island.

Apart from a few typical Land Rover hic ups.. it was an absolute hoot...

Geez you guys that live less than 2 days drive from Fraser are lucky... what a fantastic place..

Over the next few days I'll get my act together and post a full trip report. It's unlikely to be as comprehensive as the 2 from Vlad on the old site. (Vlad - your notes where sooo helpful in trip planning - thanks mate;))

And yes.... there will be Pics before anyone asks:p

Anyone who hasn't been - get off your butt and go....( maybe wait a week or 2 until the rug rats are back at school - but do it!)

Now to clean a couple of hundred kilo's of sand out of the car arnd trailer.....:eek:

One of the things that blew me away was the silent streams.

I'll tell you what was strange though: I was in the maritime section of the museum in Dunedin (NZ) and saw one of those detailed models of none other than the Maheno... It took me a moment or two to put two & two together though!!!
