Is this an obsessive compulsion?
How many LR's do you have?
Are you taking your medication?
Or do you just have exceptionally good taste?
10k sounds ok to me-especi if it is mech ok (have you had it checked out by a good landy man?) with those extras!..is there a hidden pitfall?
If after answering these questions u feel that you would benefit from therapy then I can link you in with a good rational/emotive counsellor to help you thru this.

Tell me about the first time you had feelings like this about landrovers........the shrink settles back with a knowing look on his face.........now can you talk about the impact this odd compulsion has had your life..........shrink decides to sell beamer and get defender that night.

18 months ago i brought a 95 for 14k roof rack, lockers etc, didn't get driving lights or winch though, if your confident on the mechanics than that a good price

I thought the Td4 was a Freelander motor:p

I'll also make you envious and say I've just got a 98 Tdi Defender with less than 80,000km and all the fruit (winch, bars, cargo barrier, 6 new tyres etc) for only a few thousand more:D

TD4 is a Freelander engine, it must be a TDi

I wouldn't wory to much, roadkill, I once worked with a bloke who had seven goggomobiles of varying descriptions and his sound recordist had collected five skodas......

We used to employ a cine camera man who had five citroens including three 2cvs and a diane, the other was a ds23 (nice car).

i must learn to read the crap i type before pressing the go button!

it has a full length rack, lights front and back, a bul bar ,a few other bits.

nothing that you would call a modification

dont have winch :( or lockers:(...but they can be added :)

i have a series 3 that has seen some rough places, a needs some love ......aot of love, but is mech real good

also bought a old s 3 hard top for the gear box, so now it is a rooling wreck out the back.....my little boy willl be learning to drive in it!

I have spent about $3K so far in the last couple of years, mainly on the gear box, and am getting to that point where you say....for $^%$ sake how much more cash do i throw at this thing?

So hence the post, im pretty tight with cash, and after researching the defender, i feel ok, its like a time warp from what i have been driving, but am just nervous about getting a bill for $6 k if the engine gos kaput.......

anyone know how i feel?

The thing i like is the defender is a modern version of what ive got now, so i dont have any misconceptions about comfort/ sex appeal.....

Its nice to have a place to go where everyone knows your pain!
