$499:eek: for VHS tapes:eek: I wouldn't have thought they were that collectable.

I've already got all those and converted them to DVD so they last longer.

The one I want is the Russian one through Siberia in 1990... :(

They say burnt DVD media only lasts 2 years, whereas pressed dvd's will last a lot longer.

Depends on the quality of the dye layer in the DVD disc. At this stage its to early to tell for sure bt accellerated testing of some brnads shows low life whilst other good disks should last several decades.

Would definitely like to get these on DVD though.

The 87, 88 & 89 DVD are just the same as the original videos.

The second DVD of 90 - 98 are shortened versions of each year.

As for the videos, 87 was the first year that they were commercially available. Prior to that, they were produced more as a marketing tool (you can pick copies up on e-Bay from time to time).

PS... 96 was a good year... Most of it was filmed using my truck. :)

I've got most of them, stopped buying them in '97 when the spirit of the Camel Trophy died
