Moving Parts Interstate

Educated people, has anyone (stupid ? I know) move parts small/large interstate with out going from business to business or business to the average Joe???????????????
Rang around Adelaide for 2hrs today (TNT, TOLL/IPEC, COURIERS PLS ect) and no one will move ***** without acc's, (wont take cash or COD) need to be a business, or need freight slips (pre paid)
How or should I say who have you guys moved your bl@@dy parts with???????
Taking into consideration all you Rebuilding a Ser type people, Rebuilding damaged/writen off ex Army 110's or just playing swapsey's/bartering ect ect ect.

Australia Post are bloody brilliant for up to 1 cubic metre and 20kgs. Go everywhere. Registered, express, COD.

What about the railways? Do yours still have a parcel service? Qld Rail does. The bus companies? Are they still functioning? The biggest earner ion the long haul coach business was parcels. Yellow Pages, lots of interstate hauliers. Can't all be fussy.

I just bought a right hand guard for my series IIA in Melbourne and had it sent to Brisbane, with the help of Rangieman, I had the same problem, no-one wanted to know me unless I had an account, and the ones that were prepared to do something wanted $398.00 to send it up. I mean I didn't pay that for the whole vehicle.

I found Pack and Send to be great, still cost a bit but could do direct deposit to their account.

If you find a reliable source let us know as members are always buying stuff interstate and need to ship it.

Ladies & gents
I'd like to ask the mods/members to see if they can put together something/anything to reference a state/idea/perfered frieghter/transporter to help us all for info who would frieght gear/parts small or large interstate/local.
I understand this is a big ask but with 1000's of members it might take the sting out of a bl@@dy good buy if the frieght was a bit lower, ie I sent some gear to one of our members by Aust Post $32, all I asked was he'd pay the cost of postage for the goods, wasn't much by weight 7.4kgs, but if I could have got it to him buy, say courier at half the price the deal would have been better.
With much bartering and swaping of parts with mates, people re-building past/present veh's I think even with my "new to the forum" and PM's with valuable members and helping them that I can see this info will help. Once again I can see this will open a bl@@dy big can of worms but after this morning there can't be many out ther that will help the non-"I don't own a business" type of person so I can move some freight/gear.

Yabbie, are you in the recommended suppliers list? If not, why not?

Are you franchised/affiliated with a large courier company or are you in business by yourself?

What is your business name? What area do you cover? I prefer to put business through people I know - if practicable.

I have found the same problem with most of the carriers here (Dubbo). The local ones that deliver locally are OK but the long distance ones don't want to know you if you don't have an account - and some won't even hold stuff sent to you by them (until you get into town). This is a change that has happened in about the last five years - I don't know why.

Hi All,
You can buy a Who Goes Where for about $80.Bit $$$ for one off's. Basically a carriers bible.But it will always come down to COD or account. I find Followmonts in Bris are good and will do COD, but mainly up north.Alot of the smaller companies will do COD. Also look into the companies that do the paper runs etc. And there is also Buses, but they can be a pain.If you are in QLD and need something looked at, I am happy to give some ideas. Basically I have worked in the feild for about 10 years, and I'm sure other members are in the feild too.Maybe it might pay to add a sticky for freight/logisitcs.
