Does anybody have a County with the two APA or Manchester gas tanks fitted underneath?
I know they fit in Disco's and Rangies, but it looks like a bit of work with the County as the valve compartment looks like it is going to be in the way.
I was quoted $1500 for the job, but I think I could find some one to do it cheaper :wasntme:

$1500 ! You will be lucky to get it under $4k, yes the valve boxes get in the way you need to swivel them to face up then fit the tanks and swivel down to face horizontal. Rangie/ disco tanks should fit but you will need a custom made tank cradle to fit the space.

Thanx 4 that Loanrangie, I spoke to the guy at Lynda's landrovers who said much the same.
The $1500 was not the full conversion, it is already on gas, it was to supply/fit and connect the two cylinders.
I can get the frame- new - for $120 so that leaves supplying the tanks, fitting and connecting for $1380.
These LPG fitters are going feral with thier prices.

I've been considering this for my County. What's the clearance like and where do they fit? Does the petrol tank need to be removed or modified? $1500 is a fair bit, but mine's pretty much refusing to run on petrol so $1500 in mucking around or $1500 in gas storage is an easy choice.

$1500 is in addition to the conversion cost he has already paid, a new underfloor lpg setup with set you back appro. $4k with a custom petrol tank.

I have been told those sill tanks are worth heaps at the moment. Not easy to get your hands on so that is where the money is going.
