View Full Version : I'm bored, anyone for a day / evening drive?

I’m so bored, I need a drive.

I’ve clocked up nearly 6,000kms in the last 3 weeks and that’s now given me itchy feet.

Anybody interested in a mundane drive this afternoon/evening, say to Duck Creek and / or Border Range National Park or any other suggestions.

Just looking for a non extreme drive and it is short notice so if no takers, thats OK.

Cheers.

me too, but i guess thats a no for today, and before you suggest sunday, i've got a few home chores to sort.
proton needs rattles fixed, merc needs aircon pump put back in, disco needs door trim, exhaust, various rattles, oh, and there is the garden to look at. i even saw the back yard today, not a pretty sight.
and i have to do something with the vw, like donate it to a worthy cause.

what sort of job do you have?
na, just joking, i know what you do, and when you work hard all day, the summer/humidity/temp change knocks the stuff out of you

Actually, I just got a call from Outlaw and I was saying, I was glad there were no takers because when I posted, it was a nice looking day but by this arvo it was too hot, so all was well.

Anyway it was way to short on the request time, so will have to plan a bit better next time.

Cheers all.

PS got a lot of work done so not a total lose.

Are we interested in the a night run in the not too distant future. I am finally getting on top of all the work I have to do so I can do the Duck Creek run if there is any interest.

Cheers again.

We've basically got something on each month over the next 8 months so just pick a free night, let Mick know and see what response we get.... i'm keen though as still haven't done that duck creek trip

Hi LoadedDisco, Wondered why you were so quiet.

I am now working at home till probably after Christmas, so I can pretty well do all the planning needed for when ever it suites everybody else.

So post some dates and see which one best suites all.

Cheers.

PS, the boredom was well and truly broken today.

Put the RR in for it’s 160,000km service and they gave me a TD6 RRS.

I checked the speedo as I drove out of the dealers and it showed just 1,208km on the odometer.

I rang a mate in Sydney to rub it in and he suggested that I try to double the reading.

Well I did, because when I had a better look at the odometer, it had actually read 120.8km and I managed to add another 150kms before I returned it.

Must say I ( and the wife and daughter ) had a ball driving it all round the coast.

So it was you driving side ways round the round about today in a sport:D :D :D Only kidding, should have given us a call and we could have met up at Old Coach road to put it through it's paces;)
Do you think they would give me a RR Sport if I took my D2 in for a service:eek:

Tim,
I have next week off so would be happy filling in one of those days with a drive. Just not Monday as the Disco will be in for a service. :)

Hi craig, I have a ton of work I have to do but nothing I can’t move around so just give me a call the day before and I’m ready.

I was going to go alone tomorrow as an observer but they have heap going, which is great to see, so I won’t add to the crowd, which makes a trip during the week all the more inviting.

Cheers

Tim,
Please you pick the day as after Monday and not next Saturday.
I have a free slate so pick a day around your work and we will head to-wards Cunungra and Lamington National Park.

Im also going to do the Duck Creek Track with dad in the D3 in around 3 weeks.

Hey i'd love to join you. I am bored too. Bit of a geographical snafu though. Work went a bit pear shaped today and I have ended up staying in Terang here in Vic. Very boring. So much so you can supersize your glass of wine at the local bistro with dinner. The medium rare kangaroo was like chewing on an over cooked thong.

Take me to the bush!!!

Anthony if we don't see you there before 0915am we will know you are busy with work, which is understandable in the middle of the week.
This will be a bit of a look around Cunungra, I will show josh the G4 area but we will not be driving it. And probably go up to O Reilly's for a cruisy drive down and back Duck Creek Track. There are a few fun spots just off the track to test your nerve.

Its up at O Reillys. Just a few km on the right before you get to the main carpark and guest house area. Its the 4x4 road down the back side of the mountain that goes to Beaudesert. Its on page 229 of the Dirty Weekends in South East QLD book.
