Help Needed

A friend is looking at buying a Disco from someone in GreyStanes Sydney.

The problem is the gentleman who is selling it doesnt speak english very well and has problems communicating what is on the car what it has done etc...


It has suspension lift etc winch blah blah he says he has the reciepts so i was wondering if anyone lives in the area could swing past and see if it is worth getting a inspection ordered.

WE dont mind paying for a inspection before we fly down to buy it ( we are on the gold coast) but would hate to pay money for an inspection if it is a piece of junk.

So if anyone lives in the area and could call in and just have a quick look at the car and reciepts and let me know if it is worth chasing further.

I would be happy to drive one down if we were coming to get the car and even transport stuff back up but we need to know if the car is worth coming down for.

where are u wazza? I assume you are north of Sydney...but there is a red manual 97tdi for sale near me( Albury). Has 150k on it and asking $10900. Has bbar, cd, polyairbags and looks very straight. Can check it out if you're interested. Seems well priced.

If it is any good and it has been for sale for a few months you may get a big discount and get a bargin

Ill check out some issues with getting it passed in QLD and then go from there and with any luck LoadedDisco you might see it running around the gold coast soon. And we should get off our arses and join the land rover club there.


( currently have a series 2 and 3 landy and are buliding a early 80's rangie)
