Hi guys,

I read here a while back about a possible run to Levuka. Is this still on the agenda? and if so, when?

Cheers, GQ

I suggested a trip there a while back but I'm going there next month with the Brisbane LR club but I' sure we can do a trip in the not too distant future. Mick might be able to sneak it in the trip calender some time ;)

I do enjoy going there even if the tracks are a bit on the tame side. Most times it's muddy as they seem to get good rainfall there.

Hmmm sounds interesting... we need a couple tame trips on the calendar as we've gone a touch overboard of late with the tougher ones.

Never been before... how about a quick report Aquarangie on what the place is like, how far etc. etc.

Levuka, from memory it is 3 hours drive to the park.
Good camping facilities with flushing toilets and warm showers, fire wood delivered and great scenery.
In the dry the park would be medium to hard but it gets plenty of rain down there and when it is wet I would rate it as hard as the drives from the last two months. It gets quite slippery and the mud is clay.
Trav has seen the hole park and would have better incite as I have only been there once about 2 1/2 years ago.

1 hour and 40 minutes from home for me in Marsden in Logan City (nice and close). I can't see how it would take 3 hours if you travel through Canungra and Beaudesert then it would add about 40 minutes to my time as a guess.

Gladly run a trip if Mick picks a date, would be a overnight of course. Any interest???

I would be up for it, subject to the dates

Yep I would be keen, and I agree Outlaw we need more runs that cater for everyone ie Crystal Creek type, City view etc.

Got a new thread here, click on the link below.

This place caters for all and most of the tracks are friendly to stock LR's :)
