Just a quick question. I was following a thread last night which I now cannot access "Question for the head shed". Why cant this be accessed and what does the lock at the side mean?
It was amusing reading.

While I am NOT an administrator of this site, certain threads do get locked because of various reasons. We are tying to keep a site here that is friendly and civil. If the thread was locked it was for good reason, I would suggest to just leave sleeping dogs lie.

Sometimes it is better not to ask too many questions.

Does not matter, its seems to have been deleted now anyway. As a member of a club and having been on the committee on and off for more than 30 years I could se some parrallels as to what our committee has to deal with at times.

Absolutely. That thread was definately not needed here. The owners of the site have total descression of what they choose to host and what they choose not to.

I missed it to, but this place is pretty tolerant so if it was removed than it needed to be. Matt

Hi Ian, both the popularity and the importance of this sites perception is dependant on those who use the site and do so in a manor that is to EVER BODIES liking, so if a thread has been removed then I agree whole heatedly with the previous posts in this thread. This site’s owner and it’s moderators are pretty fair with the way they police the site.

If you have a enquiry specific to that thread or a problem relating to it, PM the moderator for an answer.

Cheers

I dont have any objection to anything being removed if thats what is deemed needed. My original question was because when I first looked at the thread this morning it was still there but I could not get access to it and wondered why it did not work, there was a little padlock on the LHS, more a technical question than a question about whether the thread should be there or not. Anyway, I am off to the Gold Coast for a weeks holiday courtesy of a Coca-Cola competion so will be missing the next weeks posts. Cant say I enjoy flying much though and would much rather be driving the Rangie or even my wife Subaru to get there.

thanks,
Ian

Enjoy your trip up here and just to make you feel like your at home, the forecast is for storms tomorrow and showers for most of the week.

But like Melbourne, our weather lately has been totally unpredictable so you should feel at home.:D

Cheers.

ICant say I enjoy flying much though and would much rather be driving the Rangie or even my wife Subaru to get there.

Me? I'd rather fly any day - so would my wife. She loves the take-offs.

To all the cyber friends I have made throughout the last few months

I will never forget the attack on my family but I do feel remorse over the entire incident

Seeing Yabbie on the current users list is reminiscent of a starving puppy begging outside a steakhouse

Personally I take no pleasure watching this display

I do feel sorry for his banning

I was as much an instigator as he and have been given the appropriate punishment for my crime

Sorry for upsetting everyone

I will still log onto the forum from time to time but from this point on will be playing a less active role

So in the words of Douglas Adams

"So long and thanks for all the fish"
