Damn i'm having a bad run in life....... Someone shoot me please....

I've been a bit quiet due to marital problems and my life is a bit up in the air.

Well this morning i go out to the car at 6.45am to go to work and find my side window on the Ute canopy is ajar. i look thru the glass to see my Work ute has been broken into.

No after i stopped screaming and kicking and crying and making a scene and told the neighbors to all phuck off and leat me die in piece i called the Vic pol and was greated by a nice lady who was very kind. Damn there is one kind woman in this world..... other than my Mum....
They are sending some dudes out to fingerprint the car and stuff soon i do hope....

Well the few things that crap me off are.....
It was parked in my drive in my carport about 10m from the road. There is a sensor light and during the early moring i thought i heard the neighbor put his bin out..... Nope i now think i heard the break in happen but did not click at the time.....
And my old dog did not even bark. Time for a new Dog, Wife and new house with lock up garage.

So what was stolen???
ohh i'm a Refrigeration mechanic for those who do not know this Bi-polar little duck.
2 sets of Gauges, 1 is liquid filled and i have had since i was an apprentice. i keep all my tools in good nick, and that is the one that craps me the most. it has sentimental value, its over 18yo. PHARK
Tool bag with fluke meters, shifters, screwdrivers, data books, misc stuff and hand tools that are not avail anymore.
Big tool box with hammer drills, dewalt cordless, Grinder, flareing tools ect.
Oxy Set in box, Vaccuum Pump, 41 piece 1/2" drive Sidchrome socket set. leads and lots of other crap........

BASTARDS..............................
Why do we live in such a scumbag world, why cant the loosers of life just Die and leave the nice honest (well kinda) people alone...

I work hard for my life, i go to work daily to feed myself and my 3 kids (2 cats and a dog) i own my cars and paying of my house and i cant afford to spend another $5k on replacing my tools.......

Why in hell did i sell my last place with security gates and double garage and tripple carport and the best house... to move to a smaller house with no places to put my toys..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And why is my cat meowing when i have fed him...... SHUT UP

And why is it that Insurance companys dont cover "Tools of the trade" unless it is specified in your policy as an extra at about $1k per year.

My work insurance wont cover it and nor does my home.

So i'm broke with a job and no tools and life is phucked.....
Bathroom is half finished and looks like it will be waiting alot longer...

So looks like i'm going to sell the Fender..... i'll hammer ebay and try to make some $$ there, but other wise Camilla will have to be sold to finance my loss...

So if your out there you low life piece of crap, not only have you disrupted my life and set me back 6 months in $$$ you are possibly going to make me sell my HOBBY. YOU FREEKING REGGIE.

Ok i feel better now..... i've taken my medication and i'm all calm.......

Now who picked a winner on Cup day????? I DIDN'T

Sorry to hear it all, mate

hopefully your tools will be found and the thieving lowlife will be caught

It's a shame the law wont allow you to use your tools of the trade on their person

I was thinking the same thing, perhaps a wip around could be arranged to help a fellow AULROian out!

Not sure if this helps, but won't your insurance at least cover an amount of personal items if they are stolen from "a locked luggage compartment" and even a small amount for items stolen from the cabin or glovebox(cubby)?

Surely some of the gear stolen could arguably be for personal use. I would try claiming the maximum allowable under your policy for whatever items comply and hopefully that would go part of the way towards covering the other stuff.

Like I say, if you can bring down at least one major bank or insurance company in your life, you've done well.

Mate, suckola on all the above, faced a few of those situations myself in the past  . A thought though, is that if you are looking at about $5k worth of equipment, financing it maybe an option. I did a rough quote on $5k over 48 mths down to $0.00 and you are looking at about $30 a week. This is based on commercial finance, owning your own home, clear CRAA and have held an ABN for at least 2 yrs- no financials required. Let me know if that is of interest as would be happy to organise free of charge,

And why is my cat meowing cos you will feel much better if you stroke its fur for a while ( it knows you need it ;) )

Marital problems are the worst, and hurt alot, but if you have a little faith in yourself, you will survive, and get back on track :)

Good luck, and sorry I can't help out with the tools.

As a fridgy my self, I went out and had a look at my vac pump that I dont use anymore , thought I could at least send it down. Sorry the bloody thing is frozen solid and after a quick pull down stuffed. Sorry I couldnt help the thought was there though.

I bet if you sat down and worked out the replacement value of your gear $5k wouldnt cover it, all I can say is I hope the bastards let the smoke out of themselves as theives who target a mans tools to make a living are the lowest form of animal life, this is where I hope reincarnation is real and one of the bugs that gets creamed against your windsreen is is them.

P.S. I also had all of my gear stolen quite a few years ago, went from Fluke and Proto to cheap crap that would suffice.

you have my simpathy

You have my sympathy Clarkie, had the same happen to me a number of years ago when I worked for myself. It is not just the cash value but also very inconvenient and frustrating trying to do your work. Hopefully the coppers will lift some prints that are already in their database.

I have more tools than I need. PM me if interested. In Bayswater.

Steve,
I had a year like that in 1999, had a M/bike acident which put me off work for 5 months, got separated and divorced, lost a $100k in settlement and because i wasn't working with no income insurance, sold just about everything to stay alive...crap year.
Sometimes in life you hit rock bottom the only way is up....
6years latter I have a new wife and 2 beautiful kids to add to my other teenage two, two houses of which one is paid off and 2/3rds through the next, two landrovers of which I own outright and no other bills...If you had told me my future 6 yrs ago i would have laughed in your face.
Get up dude wipe the dirt off your hands and start living, the only way is up.
As for the dudes who broke in I can only hope their next hit is a hotshot:twisted:

mate make a wish list, post it, Im sure we can knock up some gear out of everyone here...

Im not sure what Ive got that will be much use to you... I can give you an extended load of a top of the line multimeter, some basic pipeworking gear...

It might cost you postage but It might be enough to get you out of the poop...

Helping others,,, Isnt that part of the reason everyone smiles when they see a landrover cresting into their world of hurt?

how heavy duty does the vaccume pump need to be, theres a couple of ex mil ones in the local disposal store.

Sorry to hear about your lousy start to the day. I know the feeling - many years ago my garage was broken into and they knocked off all my tools. That was a big enough PITA and they weren't tools of trade either. As others have said maybe we can help out?
Btw your post is very well written - have you considered using your writing skills to make some extra cash? Just thinking out loud here - send a copy of your post to a 4WD mag, or the local paper - they won't pay you for it but something could come out of it.
:)

Sorry to hear about your horrid luck. Unfortunatly I doubt you will see much of it but I do know a guy who found his tools in a garage sale the next weekend after they were stolen. He bought the drill back and called the cops.

Mate, very sorry to hear about the scum. Been hit with that scourge before and it's a special kind of rage.

I'd be checking around all the cash converters too. Even though they have to give ID most petty theives didn't get to where they are because they are bright and you might be lucky for once.

And DON'T sell the truck! The one way to feel bad about it for longer will be to part with something that you love to get by.

Crims are are in jail not because they are smart, just that they think they are..........Once the Vic police catch them..arrange for them to transfer to Queensland.....I've got a couple of really huge Islander types doing 14 plus.......and they just love to have a lil ole white boy in their cell:) .

Clarkey chin up...like everyone is saying you can only go upwards from here......Don't let the mongrels get you down.......Just think of them going to bed at night with "Elephant man" in the same cell as them ;)

I am prepared to give a donation at anytime.....

Sorry to hear that Clarkie, I always have problems describing the no brainers who do this sort of thing, I think what makes it worse is that they are somewhere with all your stuff thinking they are entitled to anyones' possessions and very pleased with themselves, yet I feel if it happened to them that they lost valued possesions they would be as angry as anyone else.

I just wish that there were mandatory jail sentences tied in with a monthly birching.......................... but then the do gooders would complain that that would be unfair........................

Shheeeesh, Steve.

I was thinking of you yesterday wondering how you were going as I hadn't seen you around since the cave time message. I do hope it wasn't me that jinxed you.

Bloody mongrels. I don't hold out much hope of you getting your stuff back but they may be known to the cops.

Dunno if there is anything I can do but if I can, I will. You only have to ask.

They certainly arent smart are they, neither are some of the cash and trade places either mind you. When we had the shop my business (ex) partner had one of his feral mates behind the counter, he must have asked him to watch the shop whilst he went to the toilet, two days later when someone tried to rent one of the games we noticed 14 games missing from the racks under the counter. (they werent in cases, they were empty on the shelves) over the next week blank cases started going missing. So we took a walk upto the other games shop up the road that trades second hand games in to see if anyone had tried to sell them any, not only had they tried the morons at the other shop had bought some, the cases still had our price stickers on the front and the number coding system we had on the spine was still there. We took the games back and called the police, they had their second hand dealers licence taken off them cause not only were the good stolen the person who sold them was 13. Matt

If we had a real Justice system with real punishment instead of the floored pussy legal system (Run By Shonky Lawyers) that we have now, crime would drop significantly.
Judges need to wake up and smell the roses too.

**** Clarkey, only just read this, not good.

Mate, been to the cleaners financially a few times and you always come out the other side, although it doesn't feel like it at the time............

I lost a lot of good gear ten years ago in a fire, infact, most of everything I owned !
Only things I had left were most of my handtools (thankfully).
Hopefully the wholesalers looked after you.

Pinching someones tools of trade/livelihood is an unbelevably low act.
I used to have $4K tools cover and dropped it two years ago..........
