Folks I'm new to these forums and have just purchased a 4wd and like a typical bloke I'm looking for a nickname for my chariot. My question is, do you have a nickname for your vehicle? My old series 2A was called "the red rattler", a) coz it was red and 2) it had more rattles than a millionaires baby.So please share wot your vehicles nickname is and how did it get that name.

mine's a no-brainer, all the healthy braincells were on strike anyway so i could not think of a decent name, hence x-box. This means it's a box with the x- factor, no knowing what will happen next..... ;)

I have a Series III paddock basher which, when it ran better, I used to scare the pants off the nephew and neices (in a fun way):D. They named it 'The Bumpy Truck' so now I just call it 'Bumpy'.

well my ute is affectionately known as "the yoot" or ELLAR-YOOT, as the number plate is LRY00T, but the wife's disco sometimes gets called the sewing machine, compared to the roar of my V8, that's what the TD5 sounds like.

Mine is Called George Prince of Darkness.
George as in George Lucus and Prince of Darkness after the lights failed a couple of times.
I Normally just call it George or the Beast.
The Camira I have been driving while all the repairs have been going on is called the grunt bugling by me and the firey phoenix by my brother. He calls it that as evreytime you think it has finaly died someone needs a car urgently and it just starts to go again! When you don't absolutly need it it won't go.

Very originally, I have "The Old Landrover" and "The County" or (from grandchildren) "Grandpa's White Car" or "Grandpa's Blue Car".
But a little more originally, the family used to have "George", a Beetle (eventually given to a nephew who fairly promptly rolled it), and "Bixxie", a Laser, which I sold to a colleague when I bought the County in 1992.
