and double for the bush that i can put ozexplorer or will run my cd maps :D

i already have 2 gps,s one i bought and the other came with my defender
im no techno boffin
and im still trying to get one to talk with the laptop

so if i could get something to make life easy for both of us sweet

I got a NAVMAN pin 570 when they were clearing them out. Its great for general refidex style work and for getting you from point A to B. I havent tried it out West yet but I cant see the standard mapping software copeing with non gazetted roads. Very easy to use except mines lost the ability to produce sound for some unknown reason so you cant hear the voice directions anymore. Overall its a valuable bit of kit and id be lost without it for work.

I have a TomTom 910 - great for normal roads/direction - absolute crap for anything slightly off the track so to speak, but nice little toys - works as a blue tooth for the phone, has a 20 gb hdd that will hold and play MP3's and movies !!!

.............but in the world of serious GPS it's an expensive toy.

I also have a Garmin Quest 2, and it's great for tracks, even farm gate lanes down to the river, the normal road performance isn't too bad.

It's also waterproof to a level. When I rolled my D1 off a bridge into a river bed, the Garmin was below the water in the gooey mud. Wiped it off and still worked perfectly.

It's totally portable and can be fitted in bikes/motor bikes as well as sitting in your pocket. Has a 20 hr battery life before recharging. The screen mount is also pretty strong.
