The radiator of the Stage-one is heavily damaged. A new one is very expensive. So I'm looking for an alternative. Can I make a radiator of a Defender 2.5 n/a fit? This radiator is approximately 4cm too high.

Have you tried taking it to a radiator specialist for recoring? Won't be cheap though - but also such a specialist would be able to suggest any likely alternatives, and probably even find you one.

G'day id aggree with john or you could try fitting up the fender item as they are nearly the same in the front stage1/fender..
Otherwise you could get a alloy jobbie made up to siut your landy ive made a few for other veh's in the past and would go this way if in your predicimate..
Ive used PWR brand cores made here in au and found them to be quite a good product they can also supply tanks to weld on and all the fittings you need or they can supply a compleet unit bit costly tho i prefer to fab my own tanks and tig weld em my self :D:D

cheers from east coast au cold and wet to mate :p:p
