just wondering if anyone has or knows of someone with a spare 3.9L v8 for a 95 disco as mine has gone kaput

So that would explain why you've been so quiet of late...

Don't know of any but they do keep popping up so will keep an eye out for you.

Why a 3.8 cant you just go a newer 4.0Ltr or even a 4.6 there would also be good deals around. I'm sure they would all fit.

Steer clear of the 4.6 unless you get a new block as they have liner slippage issues.

Also the S1 Discos are all distributior driven, but you can use your old EFI set-up to simplify the fitting. The later model gear is better but I wouldn't know what the electrical side would involve :(
