Well I have located the tow hitch in the new D3 and it is a marvellous piece of engineering. The way it is sculpted in that artistic curve, the ergonomics of attaching it etc are all really impressive except....
....it's a bloody ball type hitch and my camper trailer uses a Treg Hitch! Does anyone out there know of a Treg Hitch version that will fit into the Disco 3? Neither a Google search or call to the dealer have been particularly helpful.
Help!!!

If yours is in a curve then you must have the UK spec hitch and not the Australian Hitch which has a separate receiver.
I'd get back to the dealer.
Go to disco3.co.uk There is an Aussie section there and I'm sure a few have sorted this one out and can point you in the right direction.

Oops!
It helps to take the thing right out of it's cubby and have a good look doesn't it. What a dumbass!
Minor problem though, my existing "Reece" copy fits too loosely into the Landy attachment, but that is only a minor issue.
Geez, I feel like a pillock.

Some guys have complained that the hitch is too low and have made up (or had made up) raised hitches.
Try a search here as well as I think some of them have posted here before.
Good luck!

Saw a D3 with a towball attached the other day and looked twice to try and figure out what was going on - still not sure I get it. And it did indeed look low.

Both the D3 and new RR have low hitches so away, don’t forget to take the thing off when not in use.
You’ll remember to remove it the first time you go over a slightly high driveway and have your back teeth slammed against one another as the hitch bottoms.
Jars the living daylights out of you.
The flip side is that it’s good for parking in the RR ( no reversing sensors )

Oh, and if you can't get the little key out after unlocking and releasing the hitch receiver, don't worry. It's not meant to come out. I gather it's so you don't lose it!

the first time i saw a D3 tow hitch i had to look twice... they're way too low! what's the reason for it? (there must be a reason! lol)
we've had a couple of customers with D3's at work, one picking up a top of the range kimberley kamper and the other one a kimberley karavan. geez they look nice towing both the kampers and the karavans!
cheers,
bryce
