Today I had to go back to Eastland shopping centre in the suburbs of Melbourne to return a failed Playstation 2 for the kids that they had bought super cheap at the sales. Of course, they were out of stock and would not even offer a raincheck. So my only option was to get a refund and go to the opposition as stated by customer service!! Talk about throwing a sale away.
I was getting tired of this 'must shop sales' nonsense so I bailed out and jumped in the car only to discover some leaflet shoved under the wiper.
What now
Now most of you would know that I am most unhappy with the last recent service from an aftermarket service centre but for me to be singled out because of the vehicle I drive.....
Well......Roverland....are you stalking me:bat: oh..and thanks for the offer :D:D:D
Cheers,
Lyndon.

actually this raises an interesting idea... many of the mini clubs 'letter drop' non-member vehicles - maybe someone with some graphic design skills could whip up an AULRO flyer? then we could all print out a couple and stick em under wipers when we spot a fellow owner?

Just raise the 4WD so that they can't reach your wiper blades and you won't get any flyers :lol2:

I think a flyer we could stick under the wiper or hand to other Landy owners is a good idea.Ive bumped into many Landy owners and spoke about the site, have written the addy down for a few.
Perhaps somebody could design a proffesional looking page we can print off,say 4 copies on an A4 sheet.Keep a few in your Landy and hand em out when you meet a fellow tragic:) :) :)

A mate of mine got so sick of it he stuck some electric fence wire around his windscreen and on his wipers. Connected to a kill switch then straight to the deep cycle battery.
Bloody silly but god it was funny, we watched this Hairy Kriscross bloke walk up to the car, get zapped, then return to the car and got zapped again. We almost p1553d ourselves laughing watching him from the window of the pub.
All was good till he got defected a fortnight later and got a hefty fine.
The wire got taken off the same afternoon

we used to do this - inc, made some A4 pages up the flyers were the size of buisness cards, or smaller

Well, how about a PDF file that is left on the site and if persons here wishes to hand leaflets out, they could print these out at leisure and distribute them.
This way the only expense is the time to make up the PDF and thats it. The only concern would be the dubious quality of leaflets printed but even the most basic home printer produces quality now.
All we need is a DL size leaflet that will be 3 up on a A4 sheet so it makes it easy to cut and away we go. Mono and colour should be available so forum members can choose which leaflet to produce and at the expense they are comfortable with.
Cheers.
Lyndon.

I've got a similar albeit accidental thing with the Alfa. Old GTV wipers sweep outwards from the centre which not a lot of parking attendants would be aware of. The lower wiper tends to un-park itself when lifted and off they go. The best result was coming back to the car to see a parking ticket under the upper wiper with blood on it! Got-him!!!

Would be funny if Roverland went around putting their leaflets under the wipers of toyotas. The offer could read something like this;
"When you buy a real 4wd, bring it to us we will service it half price" :D
