Saw a thread somewhere the other day where an aftermarket temp guage was added to a portable fridge for $30, Went to Dick Smith and for $30 you an get a 'Digitor' weather station which measures inside and outside temp. mount the sensor in the fridge and run the wire throught/under/over the sealing tape on the lid and it will give you a reading of the temp inside and outside the fridge. mounted one to my old trailblazer . super!!!!!!!!!!:D :D

Hi Drut the way to go..but the engel one is the best must agree with LRHybrid100.. it has a long wire and you can have the engel or what ever you have.. in the back with the temp gauge in the front..just in case the plug come lose..and it also tells you the lowest or highest temp..by the push of a button..a must if you travel on rough roads and want to keep one eye on your food..er beer temp. think they are around $30 mark..rays tent city has them..
