Well lets say that it was one of the more eventful trips I have had to lead.
All started off well enough, with a slight delay in getting off. We arrived at the park to meet up with Outlaw and Camo and then some modifications to Zakros vehicle. (Removal of side steps and front plastic bars) Then off through the park, where there are some new tracks to explore with some rather red rated tracks to be found. A couple of people did the terminator hills whiles others went round to meet at the top and head off.
Track 10 took us into steep terrian and the only way out was through the river crossing( mud bog). Straight in and across was outlaw (as usual) followed by Camo. The x-box was and after a couple of attempts was through and out, next was Feineel with a couple of attempts and plenty of mud spraying was snatched at the top, then the two Disco on road tyres, once again lots of mud flying to no avail and two quick snatches. I then attempted to go straight out over a smooth ledge with mud covered tryes, which resulted in me sliding backwards and then turning sideways at the bottom much to onlookers (ohh s***t). No damage done and we took the low road out.
This lead us out to the mud runs of which one was passed by all in the trip the second was deeper and longer which Outlaw, Camo and myself attempted and crossed. While having fun Outlwas saw a new longer river /mud run that had been done by the recent comp, but no standard vehicles was game enough to try it, until Outlaw, after walking the route and testing the depth with a branch in goes yeap lets go, with vehicles front and back to do recovery in went Outlaw, To his credit he made it all the way through with a couple of stops, only to come out the other end open all the doors and empty his 110 of water.
Time to stop and have some lunch before moving onto some new tracks.
Track 38 crosses track 5 and off down the steep slop we go with all getting through, going up the other side was extreme to say the least, it was here than Zackros after 2 attempts tried a 3rd and bounced off the track and slid sideways on a 40 angle. This resulted in another snatch recovery from the top and some difficult driving! was all good.No damage done. Moving on we come back into track 5 and turned to go up track 4 when we got the call to say Feineel was stuck at the bottom and not going anywhere. We get to the bottom to find he has lost all drive out of transfer box and stopped at a bad angle, so out with camo's winch upto a winch strap around a tree, winch feineel back onto track and then winch him down the hill. With no mec on trip we got the transfr box to lock into 2 wheel drive only, hook up a snatch strap to me and got him out the park.
While we were sorting out Feineel we had a toyota driver come over and ask for a urgent snatch as his mate was in the mud slop on two wheels, much to outlaws delight he was the closet for a recovery. The story to which someone else will have to tell you as I was at the time trying to get Feineel sorted, but you know that outlaw would have enjoyed having to recover a toyota driver.
At this time people aired up and left to return home and as per the comments eventful for Feineel.
Will till the next time - cheers for now
