OK folks

Just putting the feelers out for a Club only fun day at Crystal Creek ( near Murwullimbah)

Basically the day is for all members and there families.

The day will basically be a day where we can get together for a BBQ at one of the campsites which has covered seating and toilets and lots of shade. Part 1

Part2 With such a good selection of vehicles from standard to modified and Defender to Discos, we will have a good play area for people to drive different vehicles. We already have a good spread of cars which the owners will kindly let others drive, and more would be great.

Its a chance for people to drive a diesel or a V8, man or auto or a vehicle with lockers, modified suspension or just another model. Or to see what mods can feel and perform like before you buy them, especially tyres. Of coarse the owner will be in the passenger seat keeping tabs on things.

Plus its a good day just to get all members together, regardless of what you and your vehicle are capable off.

Then after we can of coarse drive around the park.

At the moment I am thinking of Saturday the 17th Feb. But will see what the response is like.

Regards Justin

ok, i'm in.
if i remember correctly, this area is also fenced, so the little critters have a boundary, which will see safely them away from the cars, if ther're not in them.

Hi Outlaw and Dranged, why not just lay it back one week, I was going to do a recce this weekend to Duck Creek and first off I didn’t realise it’s a long weekend so the place will most likely be packed and second, there is already a trip on for this weekend.
All this adds up to me not being ready by the end of Feb so use that date.
Cheers

Sounds like a plan Drivesafe... how about we shift it to Sunday the 25th February for the Crystal Creek Vehicle Swap Day... and can do the Duck Creek on the 15th April (when we already had a crystal creek trip planned for).

That would be great and I might even have the RR back by then ( April I mean  )
This would give me more time to get my finger out.
Cheers.

I don’t mind you joining the club.
I don’t mind supporting you to keep you in the club.
I don’t even mind you tagging along on our trips.
BUT, there is a limit and I do mind you coming along on the fun day just to try and win club members over to the dark side
Seriously, I wouldn’t mind a drive.
Cheers.

Drive a Pootrol. What an insult

Would be intersting though and see what the 'other' makes handle and feel like off-road.

hay there Drivesafe.
Mate your first up for the drive of the GU. Like I said just the keys to your ride will be needed up front ;) ;)
Plus I will not need to TRY and win members over to the dark side. Just drive it and you will want one!! YOU KNOW YOU WILL

just take the POOTROL on a sprint down a dirt road then try taking it round a few hard left and rights, you will soon want your rover back as the heavy tanks can be a handfull to pull up quickly,as my son-in-law found out last w/e,he was often found lagging behind due to heavy vehicle in fast corners on dirt tracks, not good combo:p
