i have a long ranger TR40 fuel tank fitted (120L), should the low fuel warning light work with this tank fitted, i cannot remember ever seeing it work
when i started the rig up on my way to refuelling her the fuel guage didn't move, i put 108L in which i think is the most that i have had to put in to date, i would have thought the light would have been on

Kelvin,
To the best of my knowledge Defenders (300Tdi) don't have a low fuel warning - at least mine doesn't

Weeds - I've got a 130 Td5 with a Long Ranger 120L tank same as yours, and the low fuel light does come on at about 7 or 8L. I've run mine down to 3L in the tank (well I got 117L into it when I filled it).
Does your fuel gauge stay on full for about 600Km and then drop for the last 500Km like normal? I pulled out my sender unit and bent the float arm a bit because it used to say empty with the fuel warning light on even though it had 40 or 50L in it.

I haven't seen one in mine either which is explained by the newsflash that there isn't one in there ....
I wish there was so I could then wonder if it was working too not just the fuel gauge ...
