 My TD5 defender is fitted with a VDO tacho. This tacho only goes to 4000 rpm.
Just wondering what rev's other TD5 Defenders are doing at 100 kph?
That is obviously for TD5's fitted with a Tacho
Mine at 100 k's is dead on 2600 rpm. and idles at 750 - 800 rpm

thanks

Mal.

2600 rpm at 100 is about right for a standard defender.

The TD5 will go to 4600 rpm from memory. Although why you'd want to I don't know.

Mal, mine's the same ~ 2600, but drops down to ~ 1800/1900 with the GKN overdrive engaged. I'm on 265/75/16. Gav
