:eek: Had a great morning on the beach/sand dunes cleaning the cobwebs out of the ute. Justabout to cruise back for air and icecoffee but the puddle of oil under the front dif put the bosh on that.
The bottom hose was jetting from a pinhole on the first bend closest to the filter. AMAZING how fast the best part of 6lts of oil can come out of sutch a small hole so quickly. A good mate in his rangie came to the rescue an we were able to tow home,rip out the leaky hose, getanother one made,replace it and be running again all by 1730 thisarvo.
I thank my lucky stars I wasent on the road home where runing out of lube at 100 plus may have been alittle more costly than a new high pressure hose+ends from Hosemasters.
The replacement is a great fit, and I recomend the mod. The old top hose will also be replaced soon, followed buy evry other bit of coolent/lube type pipe in the engine bay. Once bitten twice shy !!!
Allso dont forget the little rubber O rings that seal the end conectors, they dont go back on a second time, splash out and replace the lot while your in there.
