Quick answer is : -
1. It is going to stop.
2. Probably not.
3.Yes.
4. No.

There is a post on site regarding this problem, and cleaning the harness out using metho.

Hi Fatcat
You need to replace the injector harness(its inside the rocker cover) ASAP as the more oil in the main harness the more likely it is to stop. When they get really bad it can stop the signal from the electronic accelerator, you are going nowhere!!!!.If it stops/wont start clean the ecu plug with your spraycan you are now going to carry all the time!!!!!!
Unlikely you will do any major damage.
Take the orange seal out of the red ecu plug, the oil drains better.
Use a spray brake cleaner or a spray electronic cleaner rather than WD40,they dont leave an oily film.
Once the harness is replaced you need to flush the harness,I did with metho and compressed air.All seems pretty good now.
Goodluck
