I had a mate who had problems with AT117's falling apart. splits on 3 of 5 tyres in the end.

They look a reasonable tyre, but I'm guessing limited warranty as you have to do your own fitting, and if they are going to fall apart, could end up expensive, will think about it some more.
Tyrepower do the Silverstones for $150 fitted and balanced, with warranty.
We're not hard core offroaders, but HT's just wont do it and with winter coming up, worn HT's are going to cause me some grief I'm sure:D

hi there, i know 2 tire fitters and i was at the stage i was going to buy the silver stone at 117, they told me to stay away from them. One of them recommended a cheap but good set and they are the Sumitomo seringeti AT's. But i decided to spend a bit more extra money and go with BFG's but he said that the sumitomos are the best and cheapest for on and off road

I was talked out of them. Ended up with BFGs also.
