I believe these are fitted to both 200Tdi & 300Tdi
OK as one of the "younger" members I have no idea what this stuff is, where to get it or what to substitute it with.
My Haynes manual talkes about cleaning this with Paraffin. Anyone able to tell me what to use to clean this please?
Thanks in advance.

They are using local UK-based terminology, paraffin is their equivalent of our kerosene.

paraffin is available in oz......but you gotta search for it......
white spirits or shellite is also good.......its probably just a more expensive kerosene though......

I remember from my days of youth (a while back) that in Australia, paraffin was a different product from kero - a wax.
However, I think the UK paraffin is kero.

What he said........Anything kero based will do...Make sure it's WAX free though, for obvious reasons.;) :)

When I worked in a music store for a bit a woman came in and asked for a bottle of 'Spittle'. The UK manual for her son's trumpet said 'lubricate the valves with spittle'.
