Looking at the new Freelander with factory sat nav/phone set up. (not cheap) Does anyone have any experience with the factory supplied system compared with the tom toms of this world. Does the LR version cover ex metro any better than the bolt on systems?

I doubt it would cover ex metro at all, the TomTom's etc dont cover ex metro either.

The land rover ones do have off road tracks which the other don't have good for trips to fraser and the like.
But the land rover one does have all the tech on the what the car is doing as well as the GPS
