Hiya,
Still mulling over the decision to buy a used TDV6 or a new V6 SE.
Q: Anyone have the touch-screen driver interface (not satnav)? Is it of any real use or just looks good?
FYI: On the buying issue, I asked the LR salesman if they do fleet discounts and of course the answer was no, but they do do corporate, which boils down to free servicing during warranty.
Cheers,
Mark

It's more than just a gimic.... I find the feedback about the wheel heights & direction of the front wheels really useful, especially in deep ruts. Also, having the locking diff icons helps me to see where I'm loosing traction.
Now that I'm used to it, I use it all the time.
Still not convinced? Well, look upon it as maintaining the residuals... ;)

Mark,
be aware that you only get the 4x4 Info if you have Premium SatNav. It's not a separate option, but part of the Premium SatNav.
Like Camel_Landy, I find it's great off road. Really useful.

Landrover does do fleet/corporate discounts - well at least for commonwealth goverrnment organisations. In late 2005 I enquired on a 2006 plated TDV6 (S) - Normal recommended on road at the time was $72K. I was quoted $49k and when you vectored in on road costs (as part of the lease) it worked out at about $52K - now I wouldn't have had to pay GST so to compare apples with apples with GST, the on road cost would have been about $56-57K still a saving of about $15K.
So you might want to look closer at this if you are eligible.

For the $6500 satnav option I'd rather read an atlas:o !

$7800 was the option price from Austral today. Too rich for me.
