Got my renewal notice yesterday for my Range Rover 1993, quote was for $789 for 12 months, this morning at work did the internet comparison thing and came up with quotes ranging from $342, $360 and $980 all for the same vehicle, same driver male 49 years old, same location Perth, same driving history - no claims in 20 years.

on the two low quotes if l choose monthly premiums the price goes from $342 to $395 and from $360 to $412

Benefits of policies include

$100 per day up to $300 for overnight accommodation or transport
$1000 up to 14 days for hire vehicle ine vent of theft
Lifetime guarantee on repairs to vehicle
$250 personal effects cover in event of accident
$500 damage to trailer in event of accident
Choice of repairer
Excess waived if third part at fault
No claim discount not affectec if third party at fault
$3000 cover for uninsured motorists
Agreed value for car

So what's the difference in prices in a competitive insurance market

If you average out the two bottom quotes and take them back to your current insurer they will most likely match it..
I have to do this every second year:(
