Hi all,
Just wondering what a good price for a safari snorkel is. I'm looking at $439 (not fitted) in Queensland, which I reckon is ok.
Also, trying to get a spare rear wheel carrier but they are all post $500. I like the Bearmach ones that open with the door, but prices are hurting me.
Any thoughts
Jimmy

$439 seems pretty good to me, i paid $250 second hand. I think retail price listings in the ARB catalogue for the safari snorkel is over $500. Matt

A friend of mine recently bought a new Safari snorkel for his GQ Patrol on ebay for $380 plus approx $10-15 for delivery. This was an authentic Safari snorkel and i have seen the huge branded box sitting in his garage since delivery. I believe he is just waiting to bring his dad over to help hold his hand while he cuts the hole in the panel...will be a nervous time for all concerned so my thoughts will be with them both during this project. :)

my LR badged Safari was $500 fitted at purchase 3 years ago, so that price seems reasonable to me.

Eg left side 90-3/94 $376 and Right or TDI $436 delivered

Thanks for the offer, but I just ordered one. $450 delievered fro a 2001 TD5. I recon its a fair price so I bit the bullet.
I'm looking for a swing away spare wheel carrier if you know of any of those. THe kind that opens with the door.
Cheers
James

How much are the snorkels sold by one of AULRO's sponsors? I thought I'd seen them on eVilbay quite cheaply.

I see one on a Lada around Perth on a regular basis.
I saw him in a parts shop and asked about his snorkel.
He made it from bits of plumbing pipe from Bunnings, it's watertight and cost him about $30.
The only odd bit is the snorkel head that looks like the drain hole in my bathroom floor. :D
