Doubt it's real, the FLIR logo on the video suggests the main image is, but the "smoke" is black and it would show some heat and therefore be white or at the least grey in the image.
You can have some great fun with thermal imaging though. Use them at work a lot.

this technology has been around for years - as have exhaust systems:D
you can actually set any regular digital camera to be 'see through', just read the 500 page manual and you'll find out how to do it - flatulence observance doesn't do it for me, tho'.......
i have a doubt as to the reality (situational) of the clip described, while the black cloud is the hot spot it (quasi negative) projects without impedence - such as clothing... think about it....
or it was a very good curry:wasntme:

Definitely an aerosol can as the gas is cold not warm. Also, as mentioned, the direction is a give away.
