Where is REDROVER from the chat room? Is he still getting improved or has he been tossed aside? I've missed his brains. Is there a replacement?

If you really feel the need to talk to a script, try "verbot.com", then you can play with the .xml file yourself. Get your very own confoundingly stupid chatbot . I did, stupid, bad mannered thing, kept curseing at me. So I edited the .xml file, again, doesn't swear now, but can read recipes, poetry, the works of Shakespear, Tolstoy. Better than me sitting to read. I can still enjoy the classics, and do the dishes at the same time.
Verbot from Conversive Technologies, they have a single character freebie, called "Sylvie", an ever so politically correct teenager. Verbot can actually utilise voice recognition, and right from the beginning, was a "verbalising robot", so it uses MS Speach Engine to actually talk back with you. Or, back to you, in the case of Sylvie, cheecky lil bint.

Dave, Who made Red Rover? Must be a similar application, using MS Speach? I know of a British chatbot called "George". Both of these are of course 3d virtualised characters, so you see them on screen as you talk with them. Not like poor old Red, who can only write to us.

Shorty.
