Gday All,
I am looking at buying a TDI motor, problem is it is in Perth and i am in Newcastle, so it rules out my chances of checking it out before buying it and also leaves the question about frieght, Anyone had a motor transported across Australia? any suggestions on who to use and ideas on what it would cost me?
Thanks,
Mick.

Freight should cost u under 200 bucks as a mate freighted a engin from melb to newcastle for 80 bucks and that was engin and box as long as it all fits on a std pallet should be ok diffs tho are a different story as there longer than a pallet is it was guna cost 600 to send 2 diffs on a pallet from bris to newcastle

engines are easy - I got a Isuzu NPR truck motor from Brisvegas to Sydney for about $100 in the past.
Just make sure they are on either a skid or pallet.

Try WA Freightlines.
Cost me $200 freight for a mitsi motor on a pallet Brisbane to Perth(depot to depot).

Don't know if it is still the case, but shipping from WA to east coast used to be relatively cheap. Because a lot more goods were transported over there, than back to the east.
