Well it's time for me to install the CK7-W phone car kit in the Defender 130, but one small question first if anyone knows.
Does it have a Ignition sensor (IGNS)?
This is the only part I need to know to wire it up, but I don't really need to as the car kit shuts down after 2mins, but it still would be nice to have.
So if you know, please let us know.;):):)

I have one of these sitting in a box in the shed...
Issue is, will you be able to talk on it when driving, or will the mike pick up the Defenders charm (ie noise ??)
I was not game to install it ;-)

If its a genuine Nokia kit you should be right, they are very good. I tried saving money with various el cheapo solutions until I bit the bullet and got the genuine kit and its a huge difference. If its not a genuine one, there are some out there that dont work well if the mike is mounted on the same horizontal plane as the aerial. dont know why but it is something to keep in mind.

:D Well the only way I'll be able to tell you is when the sucker is in.
I'm really only installing it for charging and the use of the big arial I've got sitting out on the left wing.
I've set up the mike up where the cab light is so it's a little closer plus it's near enough to the boss in the left seat as she loves getting involved in the conversations as well. :p :wasntme:
We shall see soon enough.:D

If this is the Nokia kit that suits the 3200 and similar range of phones then yes it does have an ignition wire. You can set the phone up as to whether you want it to turn off with the ignition though. I disabled that feature as I hated the phone turning itself off all the time.
On my Dad's 5110 cradle (had the 6230 or whatever the CDMA was) I just wired both +ve wires to the battery circuit so it didn't turn itself off.

I fitted the CK-7W into my disco.
Didn't connect the blue igns wire. Haven't bothered to connect the radio mute wire either (if I need to work in the area behind the radio, I will do it then, but not a priority now).
I put the mike on the underside of the little overhead console in discos.
Yesterday I changed the old laser antenna for an RFI CD1795.
