Air Con help!?

hey,

ive been having trouble with the air con in my disco series one (98), seems to be leakin into the interior, tried drying everything and unblocking the drains (both of them) but it still happens, ive been told that there could be a kink in the tube near the heater box under the dash / centre console... anyone had this problem / give me some advice for how to undo everything, just so when i get time to mess around in there i dont make other problems for myself?

Do you have a RAVE disc, or a LR workshop manual?
Taking the centre console off is easy provided you undo the right things.
As to your leaking AC, those drain hoses are just under each side of the console, easy enough to dislodge, or even puncture depending on what sort of tool you used to clear them. You can almost see them if you pull up the side of the console a bit near the cig lighter. Besides, if you pull off the console, you should be able to see where the leak is or monitor it with the AC on.

cheers, im just worried about taking covers and electrics out when im not meant to,
looks like ill be getting one of these things then, what u recommend? manual or disc? or both?

Depends on what you can find -Disc is cheaper, new factory manuals (PT1 & PT2) are not cheap and hard to find. I installed RAVE onto a old laptop - along with the gps mouse it stays in the car. Or, I print out the pages I need and throw them after. The link to dave's interesting things should have RAVE discs in there somewhere (about $15).
