defender blinker and parking light lens

whats the story with these little devils? what models take what?

mine (1995) has all clear lens on the front and back of it.. are they a sealed unit?

rang BOR for a price and he reckons they are a one piece unit... ?

can you just get lens for them?

They come apart, but we only sell a complete unit. Front should have white (parker) and orange (indicator) ones. Back should have red (stop/tail) and orange (indicator) ones.

Last I heard they were a single unit. The bulb pulls out from behind the unit, when it is removed from the vehicle, unlike early series ones where the lense comes off and the bulb is removed.

i have converted mine to series lens
easy as just hack saw your defender lens close to the light base and then with some pliers you can pull bits of the lens out of the base the glue is as good as lucas electrics
$3 for a series lens :D

the lenses are removeable in mine and are interchangable with series lenses, I tried a series 111 lens and it fitted fine, no glue at all, I wonder when they changed?:mad:

Lenses for $2.50 to $3.00 on Series/110's, but use a reasonable bulb (Narva or similar). Maybe they changed because this setup for earlier Rovers is way to cheap.

Not sure when they changed but my '96 model has the 1 piece sealed units... i did purchase a complete set of 2 piece ones for $25 each... seems a bit much after the comment above about just cutting off the top lense

just cut them off its not hard once you have done one you will realise how easy it is ,and all the others will be a piece of cake:D
