Hi All,

Bit of a funny one. I have just noticed that the wire coming off my Auto Temp Sender goes nowhere  there is a length of wire and a plug but not attached to anything. I assume it has been this way for the 8mths i have had the car but heading to Fraser towing a trailer in a week so would like to know if anything gets hot on the sand, which could be hard without the sender attached. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the plug/wiring that the sender should be attached to? Now just hoping that it was not intentially unplugged due to overheating problems :(
Oh yeah 92 Disco V8 Auto.
Also never noticed a light in the dash, should this light up when you first turn the ignition on?

Firstly, these A/T Temp Sensors often cry w0lf......so someone [the seller????] disconnected it so as to not distress or cause undue concern on genteel prospective purchasers......and he wanted to flog the car quick!......

.....Upon starting, the combination Auto Trans Temp / Transfer Case Overheat Warning Light does light up to self test whilst cranking.

Thanks Byron,
Any idea where it plugs into (i.e. where would i start looking for the other plug?).
Also, anyone know where the dash light is on a pre update D1? and should the dash light still come on if the sensor is unplugged?

Connect the loose wire from sensor to a Light green/Black wire in that vicinity.......

........see my previous reply above for 2nd half.
