Hey all,

As most of you know my best 4 legged mate, he has gone missing :( , very unusal for him to nick off on his own, moreso when we were here. Any other time, which is not often, he always ends up back at home, whereas now it has been over 12 hrs. I have rung pound to no avail. To be honest am completely gutted, fingers crossed I get a call soon. It has to be one of the worst feelings not knowing, just had to get off my chest,

Regards

I hope he comes back soon. It is terrible when you just don't know.

Bugger, Steve. I know how I'd feel if Johnson disappeared.

I hope he turns up safe and sound. Is he microchipped? Does he have a tag with your phone number on his collar?

Didn't know he was missing mate, hope he turns up safely soon. Keep me posted and let me know if you need a hand searching at some point if it comes to that.

Thanks for your thoughts, much appreciated. Good news the little well big bastard has been found. Apparently he was found wondering his way to Austinville and was picked up by a lady who kept him overnight. Which happened to be the only road I didnt go down. She is a friend of people who own a boarding kennel where of our other animals have been, so dropped him off there. They called Sharlea who in turn called me.............so there I am in a carpark all misty eyed. Am just waiting till they get back so I can go get him. Phew, am a happy camper again, again thanks for the thoughts, those with animals would know what it is like when one of your family go missing,

Excellent. :)

One of our Golden retrievers did a runner after a storm a few years back. What a totally harrowing 24 hours until she wandered back herself. She drank 2.5l of water when she got home. 8O

You'd wonder how a dog that big can roam the inner city for 24 hours without someone calling you (she had a phone number on her tag)

Thats pretty slack, we also have a retriever, well its Sharleas and she is a wanderer, put maybe the difference between city and kinda country as she, like Benz this time were picked up by complete strangers. In Benz's case he was at the base of our property, but due to the time of day ie after work, cars fly along our road and the lady thought he might get "nailed". Its great when people do that, I hope to repay the favour in kind one day when I see someone elses pup wondering around lost,
