Just as a matter of interest, whilst sorting out fridges etc for Fraser, I did discover that you can still get dry ice for you esky.
The company is Commercial Ice at Molindinar. They can sort you out for days of frekin cold ice no problems.
You take in your esky and tell them how many days you are going for ( 3-4 days seems ok )
$3.50 per kilo and no power problems.

Cool!
Then when everyone is asleep, creep up beside their tent, you get a 2l soft drink bottle, put about 50-100ml water in it, drop some dry ice in it, quickly srew the lid on and run....about 3-5 secs later
KABOOM!!! A huge bang, exploded bottle, and several stunned mullets:twisted:

Dont put dry Ice in the esky with a full load of normal ice or the hole lot freezes up like a big ice block. When at Leveka my mate did it and he spent the next 30min after a few hours drive and setting up a camp to have to get the axe out to try and cut his dinner and a can of beer out of the esky.
Wasn't to successful.

Nah, lived with a couple of 'scientists' in my uni days - they came home with millions of ridiculous 'experiments' which we usually conducted tanked!:D
They also helped us brew knee wobbling sars and ginger beer:D

I get dry ice every week. I saw the Mythbusters episode. I don't think I'd try it after seeing just how the bottle was destroyed. That shrapnel might be quite dangerous.
