Gday all

Need to replace the coils/shocks on my 97 Defender, just looking for recommendations on brands etc, seems that OME or Billies and King springs pretty popular but Im sure that there are others out there. Also looking for suppliers of these in the ACT region.

Thanks in advance:D

Cheers
Ben;)

I'd go with either Bilstien or Koni shocks over OME. As for springs, Kings will most likely give you a stiffer ride. See Crump's thread on Playing with the new suspension (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/showthread.php't=36135)

G'day

After a shoking experience with a dodgy mob in NSW  I've ended up with Billies n Tough Dog springs all around:). Its looking like a realy good outcome.

I can supply part numbers if your interested.

Les Richmond Automotive in Victoria would be the go if I was doing it again.

I've just fitted Lovells coils and Bilstein sports all round - I believe its the exact same specs as Landy Andy.

Excellent control under all weight conds and ride not too bad at all - glides over big bumps.

Happy as Larry (or Andy...) - not only with the product but also with fitter - Artarmon Automotive. Great guys and uncommon service.

Have removed the Tough Dog / Rancho adjustables after issues all round.....
